My wife's parents have submitted their B2 apps, and the person at Pony Express told them that they need a letter of invitation, as well as a document showing financial support. The Moscow embassy site never mentions a support letter. Do I need to make copies of my pport as well as send an I-134/864? I can email an ivitation letter, and if I need a support doc can it be emailed/faxed, or can I use one that was with the K1/K2 process? Help!! Time is short as they expect to get their interview date in the next day or two....

From what I have seen, a letter from you stating you are inviting them for a visit, and submitting an I-134, helps in the process of them getting a visitors visa.

Since they have to be signed (orginial) - I am not sure if a "faxed" copy would work. (let alone an emailed one).

But - since your time is limited - you could try.

I would email the embassy on their behalf explaining the situation, with the documents in question.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

We e-mailed an invitation letter for my stepdaughter. Did not do an I-134 but did indicate that we would provide support in the invitation letter.

My stepdaughter had been denied a J-1 visa two years ago because her mother was here, but this year we had success with a B-2. We do have an active immigration visa in process that we applied for two years ago after the J-1 denial.
