i honestly do not see how that deal will work, to put something in a deal that depends on Iran when the real issue is between Jerusalem and Palestine sits it up to fail later down the line if we can not hold up our promise to put more pressure on Iran, or when we get a different president that does not agree with the agreement that obama made.

i see this as a way for Jerusalem to back out of the agreement with out a looking back, same applies for Palestine.

they should make a deal based on the merits of what is needed between the two countries is kind of like when a child gets into trouble and try to take the pressure off by turning the attention on to another sibling that is acting up.

just my opinion

Yes I dont see this changing a thing, just part of the do something disease. Your not going to get peace with extremist like hamas in charge. A lot of things need to change before we can seriously think about peace in the middle east.

Well, there is no "deal" here. All there is, is a precursor to an agreement to clear the pre-existing pre-conditions that were barring the way to resuming talks stalled since the Oslo agreement went bust. That is a long, long, long way from a deal.

That's not to minimize this. Getting the Likud-led government of Netanyahu to make any concessions whatsoever regarding settlements is no minor accomplishment, given the domestic political heat he'll take for this and the ideological opposition he has to any cessation of settlements.

By the way, I'm not seeing any concessions by Palestinians here.... nary a word about returning Gilad Shalit, nor of Hamas recognizing the basic notion of Israel's sheer right to exist as a state.

Oh, and I missed the posted boobs :crying: :crying: Once again VJ mods take all the fun out of things.
