I send my condolences to his family but -

No sympathy for a man that has caused more damage to this country in his 40+ years as a Senator, left a young woman to die a tortuous death in the back of his sunken car, and lived a life of debauchery and self serving evil.

he was the man who was involved with changing the immigration quota laws so that it did not favour just europeans... so maybe you should be glad he did that or you many not have had any need to be seeking help to bring your SO from a non-european country...

As far as I know "Hic-up Ted" had nothing to do with K-1 type visas yet he did help change immigration from attracting people that had something to offer this country to people who too often expect this country to offer them something.

Which had as much to do with skills and education as anything you suggest.
