I'd second the motion but seriously... do the mods really want to have less work responding to complaints of baiting threads all the time?

I do tend to agree here with these. The 2 mods we have spend more time getting complaints from the OT thread than all other forums combined. However when people come in to OT and start crying foul because they do not like what is being written or said then those persons should stay out of these types of threads. If you have been here long enough you know who these people are. They really do not bait however they are baited on a regular bases. Sometimes I walk away from the baiting as I do enjoy both OT and the upper forums.

Please though do not come into OT get b1tchslapped and then cry foul. Stay out off OT if your skin is not thick enough to ignore people. I have a few users on ignore and it is the best thing since sliced bread:yes: Just my 1/2 cent ( too poor for more  )

When you come to OT to read a post about the passing of someone important the last thing you would expect is to see some people using the death as a platform for there own agenda. I do not care if I get b!tchslapped but I do care about the immage that is projected about a site I care for very much.

It's also an easy matter to read back to the start of the threads and see quite plainly who started the $hit.

You don't say!

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

Why not use it for your own agenda? Thats what the dems plan to do anyway. They'll invoke Ted Kennedy's name to anyone who opposes their healthcare bill, that will very soon be named after him. Now we'll have to ask our congressman to vote against the Ted Kennedy Memorial Healthcare Bill. Aww its named after little Teddy.. Ok we'll accept it. This is what CNN, MSNBC, and many others are suggesting.

strange the way some of you look at death, wonder if it was turned around he would act the same of your husband, father, brother?

It really irks me when this gets posted....you know what? people die every day. I don't have the energy or inclination to mourn over someone I never had an emotional contact with....I just don't get the whole moral indignation from some when off hand comments are made about death....tasteless comments are made all the time on this board, why should death be off limits?

why do you hate dead people???? :jest:

Because you want to maintain some semblance of moral credibility?

Having been around here for a while now, it's actually the first thing I would expect. In real life on the other hand, it's the last thing I would expect. Knowing that what people say here is what they would *like* to say in real life kind of makes me hate people in general just a little bit.

So you admit that the left hates everyone they disagree with.

I don't know about that - but this surely proves that you can't see beyond politics.

If that's what you got out of my post, then it just reinforces my point. It had nothing to do with left or right. It had to do with the response to a death. There were "lefties" who had a similar response to Michael Jackson's death - I felt the same way about that as I do about the responses today.

I agree too.

I haven't come to the point of hating people in general yet, but very annoyed at times would fit better.

Oh, and I'm not the left. Respect is respect and some people just don't have a lot of it.
