hi,

not sure if anyone can help me with this, but..

i'm filing K-1, and will need a waiver (please please let us do the waiver)... in CDJ

i am currently waiting on our package to be sent to CDJ, and then the open appt. letter.

i would like to know: how long is the wait between the interview and the waiver appointment.

thank you.

If I remember correctly, CDJ has a pilot program... the submission of the waiver (or appointment) can be made immediately upon denial of the visa...

since this is wrong forum to ask this question I will move it... moving to waiver forum

YMMV

First of all you will need to submit the I-129F. Once it the I-129F gets approved (NOA2) it will be sent to CDJ. Then you will recieve an email or letter from the consulate in CDJ for an open appointment. The open appointment allows you to show up at the consulate at certain times (times available from their website) for the visa interview. You'll need to arrive a day earlier for the medical appointment.

After the visa interview you'll be informed if you are eligible to apply for the I-601 waiver. You will be given information how to schedule the waiver appointment via telephone if your eligible. They recommend waiting 24-48 hours to schedule your waiver appointment. I recommend visiting immigrate2us.net for great information on waivers.

The waiver appointment is about 6-8 weeks after the visa interview.
