Hey,

So we picked up our certified copy of our marriage cert today. She gave us 2 options though, which really threw me! The one we took was an Abstract of marriage. She said she had a guy come in last week who was going through immigration, and he had sent the other type, but was told he needed to have the abstract one. So I figured I would get that.

Have searched around on here, but cant find too much about this abstract copy. Can anyone tell me if this is going to be ok to send?

Laura is the Marriage Certificate that you acquired got an Emboss sign on the back of it??? I have two marriage certificates one is like a thing you get for good behaviour lmao...you know the type you put in a frame, the other is the proper marriage certificate, this one has the Emboss sign at the back of it.

Yes it does. We have the 'keepsake' one aswell- although I was bummed about that one cos the guy who wrote our details on it had the WORST, hugest, handwritting ever! He made a right mess of it! You would think they could at least get someone with nice writing to do that kinda thing! So think ill just keep that one tucked away :lol:

You only need to send a regular photocopy of it with your AOS package (read the I-485 instructions). Save the original for the interview.
