Dear All,

I want to share with you my experience at US consulate in Calgary. My wife and I arrived there at 10:00 am. She is Egyptian-American and I am Egyptian. We both live in Canada. She has been in Canada for 6 months.

Our file contained:

1. I-130 petition

2. G-325 A and 2 passport size photo (my wife)

3. G-325 A and 2 passport size photo (me)

4. Marriage certificate (translated by Ministry of Justice as we get married in Egypt, and authenticated by Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Egypt)

5. My Canadian driver's license and my wife work permit

6. Photocopy of my wife's American passport and my Egyptian passport

7. Joint bank account and joint lease agreement

8. My birth certificate in Arabic and the English translation, done by Ministry of Health in Egypt.

9. National Xpress post envelop.

We submitted photocopies of all the documents, the officer had to see the originals. Fortunately, we had all the originals except the English translation of my birth certificate, but the officer accepted the photocopy. We paid by credit card the amount of 355 USD.

Now, we are waiting for the package to be sent from the American Embassy in Montereal to continue on out Visa jouney.

Thanks for all of you.

Sincerely,

Ahmed

How can I move it?

moving to DCF forum

It was already moved, would have been nice to have it in the Canada forum as we don't have that many DCF filers who post, please keep us updated!
