A nice selection of chocolate might be good too...

I also vote for the hotel if only to get a nice hot shower. Having made that trip 3 times now I know its a shower that I crave by the time I finally land.

Hi Abby,

The pillow and blanket idea sounds great, even that you go to a hotel, later you'll drive her home. And how about get her comfortable shoes or slippers for her while you drive home?

Maybe some underwear and products that you know she likes, simple things like shampoo and moisturize, just in case she doesn't have it on her case? If she likes Victoria Secrets, they have small kits that have everything and are cute. I don't like to open up my baggage when I'm tired from a long flight, plus seems like put it all back together it's impossible (in case of you decide to stop by for a day).

Plus, the flowers and chocolate are a must have.

I'm excited to know about her arrival, you guys are so in love, we can feel it.

Good luck, anything you would do, I'm sure will be perfect.

a bouquet of flowers (that she likes) is a must, it'll help her more relax and welcome...i agree with the slippers, she'll need it and she'll be happy about it. also, dont forget to bring her something to drink especially water, it will help her relax as well from a very long tiring trip. chocolate is fine too, but i suppose u prefer to bring something that she really likes unless she loves choco. lol. and....last thing, dont forget to bring a vidoe cam(era) so that you can take her some vids/pictures as soon as she come out.

good luck and best wishes on your new life together! :star:

when i take the long flights to and from india, i crave sleep, shower, and house slippers as feet tend to ache if you keep them in shoes too long. can you sleep at the hotel, and spend the following day driving back? you could also show her around houston.

why u did not choose a flight that will have a final destination in Louisiana so that you will not worry of her long trip???

the reason is that my wife is flying first time and i dont want her to change the plane at houston bcz in case immigration takes lot of time or some thing else happen in case if the flight is late then what she is going to do, so i decided to go pick her up at the houston so she does not have to be nervous too much, so thats why i did it but guess what i found that flight which has two stops before she come to houston, that sucks but she is not worry any more, now it is too late to change the flight. so i am leaving tomorrow night and drive all night to pick her up in the thursday morning, lol, abby n sheryl

Definitely flowers.

Don't bother with the laptop. When she gets to LA, let her call her family using your phone to let them know she arrived safe. I am sure the two of you will have a lot to talk about when she gets here. The 6hr drive will wear you out so stay in the hotel after you pick her up and drive home the day after.

Goodluck.
