What would usually be considered wholly or partially dependent?

I live with my parents, they pay for my school and claimed me as a dependent on their taxes. I pay everything else myself (car, etc.) and have a job. Would that be considered "partially dependent" compared to my younger brother who is 14 and in high school making him wholly dependent?

I presume you are asking because your parents are co-sponsoring? If you are claimed on their taxes you are wholly dependent, HOWEVER you will also be sponsoring, you will be THE sponsor in fact. You will also need to complete an I-134 and claim youself on that one. Since you will already be counted on your own I-134 you do not need to be claimed on thiers. YOUR family size will be 2, your parents family size will be 4. Since you are listed on thier tax return, they should attach a letter explaining that you are the USC sponsor and therefore not counted in their family size. They also need to attach proof of citizenship to their I-134 and only ONE parent's income qulaifies to be counted on the I-134. Incomes are not combined for the I-134 so one of them will need to make enough to support the family of 4.

Dang, I already sent my fiance the forms.

I did send my own I-134 with w2 and pay stubs for myself and 3 years tax transcripts.

My dad's tax transcripts are joint with my mother's, but I also sent his W2 from last year and pay stubs. As for citizenship, do I just need to send a copy of his birth certificate or the original?

Anyway, I did put me and my two brothers as dependents on his, me as partially and my two brothers a wholly. We are all claimed on the previous year taxes.

Hmmm...typically best to ask questions before you complete and send forms. Normally you need only one year tax transcripts, but 3 is OK

Doesn't matter if they file joint returns, only one income will count. The w-2s for the selected parent should be attached and the stated income on the I-134 should be for that one parent only, not both. So if they both work, they will NOT state their income as what the 1040 says, but what ONE person's w-2 says. Choose whichever is higher, I suppose. Yes, copy of birth certificate and/or passport will prove citizenship. Since you need to send that anyway, may as well fill out new I-134s and send them also.

Okay thanks. Yeah I just wanted to hurry and send them and I was pretty confident of what I did, but I guess I was wrong haha. Yeah, I only sent my dad's w-2 and on the I-134 I put just what his w-2 stated. At least I got that part right!

Where does it say you need to attach proof of citizenship to the Affidavit of Support?

I have a similar concern, so I am a dependent of my mom on her returns but as the USC for the petition I do not count in her family size. Is that correct? So she would have a family of 1 (her). And I would have a family size 2 (me and my fiance). Am I understanding this correctly? So for the form I need to list my fiance as wholly dependent on me then?
