Hi

I read somewhere in the K1 Visa guides that the photos of meetings should be dated

Not knowing how to imprint dates on the photos and also writing at back of photo may spoil them

my question is:

Is it okay to put details reg date , location and who all are in photo on a post it note and stick it on reverse of photo

Thanks

Ashok

Having the dates printed on the photos when they are developed is not more solid than hand-writing them on the back. We wrote dates and descriptions on the back of each photo and this turned out fine. I guess you could use post-it-notes, but what if they fall off? I'd recommend writing on the reverse side with pen (as we did) or pencil if you are really worried about damaging them.

K1: 01/15/2009 (mailed I-129F) - 06/23/2009 (visa received)

AOS: 08/08/2009 (mailed I-485, I-765, & I-131) - 10/29/2009 (received GC)

After my this post- I learnt that one could print and I tried printing with dates from Kodak kiosk at Walmart- it works!

One can print the dates whereever you wish to the photo- just go to More edits and then insert text- then change options on the directions on screen to move the text printed

Quite easy- but time consuming

you can change the size also

And this is exactly why it does not really matter with dating them, it is so easy to PUT a date on any picture so it really carries no weight.

Just write on back with pencil or felt tip pen per instructions on most documents.

A felt tip pen won't hurt your photos at all. Also, these aren't works of art that they are going to frame - you could print out on regular paper - it's just secondary evidence. you only have to be able to identify you and your fiance(e).

On the backs of ours I put Names of subjects (actually, they were all of just the two of us), date the photo was taken, location of photo.

I also included a photo "index" for the five photos we included which mentioned the landmarks in the background. - London Bridge or the Eye, or Phoenix's new light rail (this also dated the picture as the light rail just opened last Dec.). This was to lead them around and connect our secondary evidence clearly with our primary evidence. Probably unnecessary as it is secondary evidence after all, but I felt better doing it.

I'm not saying I have a better way, but this was what I did.

I have some basic (not expert by far) expertise in Photo shop.

The first thing I did was to choose my digital photos, then crop a copy of each to 3x2.

Then I made a 4x6 frame in Photoshop, and pasted 2 3x2 pics into the frame, so I had

a new 4x6 JPG file with 2 pics that I could print out at CVS if I wanted to.

Then I opened MSWord and into a regular 8-1/2" x 11" I pasted 2 of the 4x6 jpg files.

Result: 4 reasonably sized pics on one page that I could print out using plain paper, with plenty

of white space for identifying captions/dates.

You don't have to stick to the sizes I've chosen, but I think pasting numerous smaller pics

on a standard word processing page that can be printed out in color on plain paper won't

break the bank and also will be less bulky to send to USCIS than a baggy of glossies that

will cost a whole lot more. The pics were clear and sharp but the only drawback was that

they were not glossy.

Best of luck

I found the best way was to take small white sticky labels, write the information for each photograph on them, and then stick them to the back of the photos. No damage to the photos, and they can't fall off like post-its might. :star:

post-62071-1251366060_thumb.jpg

This is what I plan to send (see attached) I just photoshopped all my photos onto one page and typed the info underneath it. Nice and neat and all on one A4 page that's easy for a CO to view.

(the A4 page also gets filed easier too. There's no need to then have to put them in a separate envelope, or staple them to things and add post-its etc)

btw... if anyone wants me to do similar with their photos, I'm willing to do it for them - just drop me an email (no charge obviously!! it's real easy and only takes 5-10 minutes)

I used 2"x4"shipping labels! I put our name, location, date, then printed them out and stuck

them on the back of each photo! it looks real nice!
