It looks like member #1 might be a piece of the puzzle. Thanks NARocks, I never thought to look for that.

Any other serious answers?

Yes what business is it of yours? Just curious as to why anyone would ask/care?

Why not?

I think you are a just an innocent by stander. You questions indicate you intend no malice of forethought.

The reason you arent getting a serious answer is because you are asking someone to divulge their business to you & its none of your business.

They arent selling shares nor asking you to participate in the operation of the enterprise.

Someone worked hard to put this together & did a fantastic job. They arent going to give it away Ray.

Looking back at my questions, it does look like I was heading in that direction, but I can assure you I wasn't. Just idle curiosity. I was not sure if this was someone's hobby project or a branch of a much larger enterprise. Of course none of this really matters.

I don't believe that rsn owes an apology to anybody. I was (and remain) curious about the same things that he asks, si man. At the least, it would be interesting to read a "history of VJ," about which someone had asked several weeks/months ago but to which no one gave a substantive or serious answer, no man.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Unfortunately this thread was hijacked by off-topic posts and a couple self-appointed VJ spokesmen. I guess if I want a real answer or a "sorry, can't help you" I'll have to PM the appropriate people. I thought others (more than a few) would be interested in a VJ history & fun facts thread though.

i have often wondered the same thing, who ever or what ever created vj has given us all a great place to be

i have seen the question asked again and again and again in the time i have been here and never seen an answer that makes sense could it be that no one knows?

maybe the person does not want anyone to know who he/she is for reasons of their own and is just a good person that decided there was enough immigration ####### out there on the net that was not factual, or maybe they just wanted to give people a place to come and feel at home

the visa journey can be a very lonely one for some people if they dont have strong support from family an friends.

  1. How much does it cost to run this place?
  2. How many full-time employees (if any)?
  3. Who owns VJ? (noticed there is no name listed in the registration records)
  4. Who founded VJ?

Curious member

Actually, I am trying to figure out how much VJ is earning from the ads and the clicks as the traffic continuously grow. With the heavy traffic here, and this forum had been here for a while, so I believed the website owner already raked almost a millions of $$$$.

So if you wanna help VJ to continue to grow and the owner to continously earn $$$$$$$$$$$ keep on coming back here and hit/click those ads (advertisement) that automatically pops up on every page.
