Hello MsSheka! I'm Tina, my fiance Dane (in Jamaica) and I are currently at the NOA1 phase of the K-1 visa process. I will be flying out to Jamaica in a few weeks from Providence, RI.. The lowest I found was US Airways at $199 one way- that's with tax and fees total. Do you think I can do better than that?? I don't know what else is out there.. ??? please help!

I am going to stick up for Spirit, I have flown on Spirit for the last 5 years, and I have never had any problems with them. I use them to fly to Jamaica, and I have always been pleased with their services. Not like Air Jamaica, that never leaves on time or is always cancelling their flights.

I hate it when someone has one bad experience with sommething, and they make it seems as if the entire business is bad. I think we all can tell horror stories about every airline that is out there.

I never flew Spirit but I don't think I want to. It seems as if they nickel and dime you too much. My mom and my friend's boyfriend flew them on our last trip to Ja because Delta's tickets (airline we were on) was too high for last minute. Going to Ja they were like 4 hours delayed and coming back they were like 8 hours delayed! NO Thank you!!!! I will have to just pay the higher and go direct thru Delta.

Well, IMO, if they are lacking in the customer service department, it's their own fault if they get bad word of mouth from people.

If I have issues but get good CS then I make sure to say it. But, if I got bad CS, Lord knows I am shouting that from the rooftops until someone fixes it.

One flight with Delta, waiting for my luggage... round goes the luggage thing - One black sandal...... a pink bra............. a thong................. My suitcase - broken zipper with other stuff hanging out

I didn't even have any issues - they sent me a claim form, I filled it out, they sent me a check, an apology, and a flight credit for the trouble -

Spirit, when I FINALLY actually got a live person who was not a reservation rep (try it, it's not fun) - I asked to speak to their Legal Dept or Office of the President or whoever was in charge of customer complaints - I was told that they only way I could speak to them was if it was in litigation - Okay, here's your lawsuit!

My aunt who flew with our group got bumped off our flight. She didn't make it to JA until 12 mid. The rest of us arrived 11:00 am.. Air Jamaica gave her a 400.00 check!
