(Non US citizen posting - from UK)

I've been married over a year now to a US citizen.

I need to send in forms DS-230, DS-156 etc.. to the embassy in London, however I'm so nervous about making mistakes it's unbelievable.

Have various questions I hope you don't mind me asking:

1) Do I need to send in Part 2 of the DS-230?.. or is it something I need to take with me to the interview?

2) I was previously married and note the IV-15 says "Marriage Certificates" - do I a copy of the marriage certificate from my previous marriage?

3) At the interview do I need to provide birth certificates of my wife and her children?

A few other questions are bound to surface before I send this package off.

As always sorry to ask what may seem pretty silly questions - but I'm finding this process pretty stressful given what's at stake (being able to at least visit the woman I love), it's odd that given all the tough situations I've been through in life that something like this should been affecting this way

Also do I need to sign and date the photos I submit?

Perhaps a moderator could move this thread to the United Kingdom forum for me.. may have posted in wrong forum.

Unless there's something very different going on in London, you don't send any of those forms to the Embassy. You bring them to the interview.

I guess something very different is going on in London then:

From US Embassy in London website:

"Mail the DS-230 Form Part I, Form DS-156, and Form DS-157 for each person and the Form DS-156-K (completed by the principal applicant only) to the Immigrant Visa Unit, 5 Upper Grosvenor Street, London W1A 2JB. Note:Note: Forms DS-156, DS-156k and DS-157 must be completed in duplicate.

Can anyone answer my questions?

Then you take the part II with you to the interview. Previous marriage certificates are often needed to track name changes for females. If that applies to you, take them with you. A birth certificate for each intending immigrant should be taken to the interview. Send in exactly what they tell you to send in and nothing more or less.
