Hi All!

Just had our AOS interview today in Los Angeles.. We got there at 1:00 and waited in the parking lot until 1:30.. Got in line for our appointment time of 1:45. We waited for our Lawyer to show up.. And he did not show up nor picked up our calls! So that got us even more nervous and made us agitated. I bombarded their law office with phone calls and told them that it is very unprofessional for him not to show up.

Good thing another associate of his was in the same building for another interview and took over for us.. Its such a waste of $$$ paying our lawyer and he did not even show up!!!

Anyway, after all the drama.. We got to the waiting room and there was abut 20 other couples waiting. One by one they got called in. We got called in about 3:15pm and our IO was a Caucasian man in his 60's, yes he's around that age. He looked strict and very serious, but once we got in his office, he was very nice. He swore us in, asked me and hubby for our DL and if we've been married before and we both said NO. This is our first marriage..

Asked my Hubby what he does for a living and he said he is a Radiology Tech (Xray) and he asked my hubby if he ever tried to make popcorn @ work using the Xray machine.. hahahah !

He asked me how I want my name to show on the GC. And he handed me the Approval letter and told me to expect the GC in the mail 7-10 days..

And Thats It! It was all done... pheeeww!!!

OMG!!! I felt like my heart dropped once he said that.. He did not even ask for anything from our evidence of marriage.. Not even our wedding album.. NADA..

So everyone out there thats having their interview soon. Just be calm and bring everything with you, just in case they ask for it.. I hope that anyone having their interview in LA have him as the adjudicator. He's very nice.

We got home and checked my email and got the CRIS update "Card Production Ordered 8/24/09".

Funny coz the paralegal @ the lawyer's office called and congratulated me and told me that 2 in years, I should go back to them for filing my paperwork for "Lifting Conditions" and they will help me file it.. YEAH RIGHT!!!! No way.. Never again I will go back there.. Waste of Money!

Good Luck to all that are having their Interview soon.. You can do it!! :star:

Congratulations Dee! I'm very excited to read about your interview as we have ours in LA next Tuesday. I think we are more than prepared (I have an entire box of information as well as a wedding album) but it would not hurt my feelings if we didn't have to use it. LOL It seems our process has gone so smoothly and quickly up to this point anyway.
