My wife arrived in the U.S. on April 1, 2006 on a K-3 Visa. When we applied for the K-3 we showed her daughter on the I-129F but did not try to bring her over as her father was not wanting her to leave China. He has now changed his mind and will let us bring her over.

According to the State Department web site I do not have to file either a I-129F or I-130 for her. However, the web site does not say how to go about bringing her here since my wife is already here. Does anyone know if I can just send a DS230 and a copy of the I-129F filed for my wife and a photocopy of her visa to the Consulate in Guangzhou for them to process? Or does anyone know how to go about doing this?

eseum,

Contact the consulate, tell them what you want to do, and ask them how to initiate it. How old is the girl?

A DS-230 would not have been required had the girl applied at the same time as her mother, so I suspect that one will not be required now. But I'm not sure about that. Contact the consulate.
