Hi All,

My wife and I were married in the Philippines in January and started the process in March for secure her visa. We received our NOA2 on July 21. How long does it usually take to be contacted by the US Embassy in Manila to arrange the medical check and interview. I just want to make sure I am not missing something. Mark

Our time line for CR1 visa took only 5 months and 1 week or 156 days; from the filing the I-130 on the 03-12-2009 to Approval of NOA2 on the 05/13/2009, then Interview on the 08/18/2009 at Manila, Philippines. We had a daughter on the 11-12-2010 named AISHA JOY means HAPPY LIFE.a1_opt-1.jpga2_opt-1.jpga3_opt-1.jpg

Call the NVC and specifically ask if your case is in AP. I hope it's not, but you have been waiting too long. Their number is 603 334-0700. Good luck! :)

hi there. if you married already you shouldn't have done a K1 but a K3/Cr1. hope you just made a mistake in your status. what form did you submit? I-129f or I-130? anyway, since you already received a NOA2 in July, you should've received info (email or snail mail for your wife) that she can already set for an interview appy and medical and apply for a visa. if not, call NVC asap

good luck and god bless!

Thanks for the advice! I did call the NVC and our I130 petition was received last week. So we should receive our packet this week and our case should go to Manila very soon as well I assume. Now should we contact the embassy and arrange the interview/med check or do we need to wait? I would appreciate any advice.

i see. you have to wait for I130 approval before setting up a sched for interview and medical. hopefully it'll happen soon
