when i come back, can i fly the same route? beijing to seoul , seoul to dallas?

in a word, i am not sure if DFW is an airport that i can get my documents checked.

the first time i came to the states, i flied through Detroit.

please help. thanks!

AP documents are checked upon re-entry to the US, which ever POE that is, not upon exit. Your travel route doesn't affect AP. Upon return - you will present your two AP documents to the CBP officer, he/she will retain one, stamp the other that you will retain.

Returning resident aliens (among others) do not complete an I-94 (still have to complete the customs declaration form though)

I need some help from you guys who traveled and used their AP to go back to your homecountry!!?? Me and my husband wanna get our tickets soon to go to germany in december and spend the holidays there!!! I got my AP in the mail couple weeks ago but dont really know how to use it?!

My questions:

1. Are they gonna take out my white I-94 that was just valid for 90 days (expired August 28 09) when I entered with my K-1 Visa??

2. Dont I need that specific I-94 for an eventual green card interview??

3. Am I gonna get in trouble cause they are thinking the I-94 expired and I overstayed??

4. Am I gonna have any problems checking in at the airport in germany going back to the states cause they usually ask you if you travel for business of pleasure and for how long you gonna stay in the US!? I dont have my GC yet, so when I say I live in the US, are they gonna understand the deal with AP??

Thank you!!

1) Yes, your i-94 will be removed when you leave the US (it is given everytime you arrive, and taken every time you leave the US), although it already expired, you did what was required (get married) before the expiration date

2) No and yes. since you have already submitted that w/your AOS application. also, since you should be present (in the US) for your interview, either you will present that (if interview happens before you leave) or you will have a new i-94 by then, and have no need for it (but you have to show the new one or at least bring it)

3) No, for as long as you have your AP when you arrive (re-enter the US). your passport will be stamped showing that you have a pending AOS application and therefore have a legal status to enter and stay in the US

4) that's where you might have a problem. germany has it's own rules. since you are not yet a USC, you might to call and ask what you need to get a visa to enter, if you need one

Yes, they will, simply because you have a document attesting to that fact. I also simply assume that you still have a valid visa stamped into your German passport . . . .

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all . . . . The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic . . . . There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else.
