you know it is quite hard to learn how to recite mantras-in Hindi and perform puja when you have never done so.

I learned 4 mantras very well and became very educated in how to worship in temples and perform pujas.

Beautiful, very extensive and relaxing.

It was a riot that my daughter would witness me and become part of it and to this day she can recite those mantras in Hindi better than me.

It brought me peace, graciousness, awareness and prosperity.

one was performed to the family mentor so to speak

one was performed to Shiva

one was to Laxmi

another I am sorry but i cannot remember to whom or the name I just know the mantra itself but it was for protection/travel and such it is a very well known mantra

 this reminded me of my wedding ceremony. the priest had me saying something, and i had NO IDEA what i was saying or even if i was repeating it correctly. but my husband says that even he didn't know the meaning of most of the things. so i guess we have to just rely on the marriage certificate that we signed to know we are really married. another reason we are going to have a ceremony when he gets here. not just for my family and friends to attend, but also so we know what we are vowing to each other

plastic earrings are just wrong. they look trashy, no matter what...

I know that I am a little late for this, but I thought the goal was too look trashy....well it's my goal anyways.:whistle:

When I was living in Mumbai I would spend the nights in the temples when it was time for the Pooja for MahaShivaratri (Night of Shiva). That was my favorite time of the year.

I love chanting the Om Nama Shivaya mantra on that night…and the way the Hindus would chant this continuously for the entire 24 hours…totally uplifting and permeating spiritual experience…

Im back form the doctor's...the procedure is next Thursday.....0i.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

No, they said it is risky because the incision may bleed a lot or other complications, and they want to keep me overnight but I talked my way out of it, and the doctor agreed to let me go home just to let out the snapper but return right back to the hospital, which is but 3 minutes away from my house. I have to lay supine for about 6 hours after. Said I will have horrible cramps, too.

Also, I found out my left kidney is very tiny from disease and non functioning and the right has stones. Double 0i.
