Well, ta-ta to all of you. I have been summoned by my Chairman, for being entrusted with new and cool projects :) ---I really like the dude, he appreciates my talents (and he doesn't even know about the pole dancing and #######) . I shall report after the meeting is over

On other topics, I saved about 5 bucks yesterday with coupons. I should PM Rogue about it, he and Carol would be proud of me!!!

i am glad to hear about your little baby, now i hope the big one will come around very soon. he will become a dog lover just like his wife

Hey Nagilita,

I'm glad that you are so happy with your dog!

Unfortunately though, I disagree with Sister Kji's statment that the boy will become a dog lover. If you're not born a dog lover, then you never really can become one...its impossible...plus, if it is somehow against his religion to be near a dog...then he may be soaking in that stew of silence for a while...

Honestly, if my wife had come home with a puppy, which she knew forehand I would be against, I'd probably acting a bit like the boy too...

Its a tough spot! Have patience with him and I wish you guys the best!!!!

Hi all (Len, Mark, Nagi....)

I'm just popping in to say a quick hello....

We have no Timmies. But we do have the Cubs, and Vicky and I have tickets to Wrigley Field tonight (vs. Nationals).

It will be her first-ever baseball game. I was explaining to her all about balls and strikes, and innings and walks and hits and.... oh, never mind. We'll just kick back and enjoy, right?

Brother Scandalicious,

Who the SamHeck is the Vicky Chicky? I've only heard you speak of Thanti...once you got off/out of the pastures...

BTW - I tried to explain baseball to AAm when she first arrived here. It was impossible! Then I took her to a little league game at one of the school parks...and she saw 'why' the person on first MUST run when the batter hits the ball...etc. <hahahahaha> She got it then ;-)

You can also introduce her to a BallParkFrank+44ozBallParkBeer (all for only $20USD!)....real Americana!

I bet the Nationals are gonna WHUP yer cubs

Peace Brother!

MarkNAAm

Another post scimmer hmp it is easier to call her Vicky and scandal and the boys decided on this for her. Thanti is now Vicky and the sheep are oout to pasture :P

 right! Mary, you are hereby offered the post of my official biographer. I think you know my story better than I do :P

Brother Mark - sadly, your prediction was correct :(

Nationals wallops the Cubs 15-6, including a grand-slam and even a walked-in run. I had fun explaining to Vicky how a walk with bases loaded scored a run. She enjoyed the game, though.

Bishop Mark,

Sadly, you are correct. His religion say's he can be near dogs, just that their mouths cannot touch him. The puppy has no desire to go near the boy, anyway.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Hey Nagi...

may i ask... what religion is your husband? I also agree with comrade Mark -- if my husband said that he was totally not into a dog and I brought one home anyway, I'd expect him to be really mad at me for quite awhile, actually... So, I just won't do it!

But I do hope your boy warms up to the pup as well, he is there now so...

Best of luck, Nagi... I mean that.

:)

Love to you both,

i was not a dog lover at first. i always had cats. did not start loving dogs until college and have had 2 of my own. now my husband does not think i should get another one, so i have not (until i can talk him into it). my nickname is kat, and now i am more drawn to dogs than cats. so, as stated earlier, all things are possible

My husband is Muslim. Well, here's the thing....he has known since day one I am an animal lover and rescuer .

He said he had no problem with it, but came here and began to dictate policy regarding my pets. I did the best I could to accomidate my husband.

My heart was clearly broke when my dogs passed away back to back. I am alone here all day without protection, without companionship....this dog was offered to me and I saved his life....may have saved the life of my husband by bringing him here, too. I asked my husband 3 weeks ago if I could get another dog and he answered it was my decision. #######??

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Dearest Hermana Nagilita,

Muslim religion is based on the same Abrahamic root as the Joos and the Christians, and the bible declares that dogs are clean animals (they don't have a cloven hoof, therefore they are clean...though the bible doesn't specifically declare 'dogs' clean...just that group of animals). But...I don't know what that Mohammed guy might have said about this during his visions which led to the Koran. Mohammed was pretty good though at saying God could/would/did 'change his mind'..but I've never bought into that... So, tell him that God declared to Abraham in the Torah that dogs were 'clean' animals...and that precedes Mohammed...so you get to keep the dog!:yes::thumbs:

Anyways...now the picture is much more clear with your additional information which you have provided.

If he told you that getting another dog was your decision, then you've made your decision. Now it is HIS decision on how to deal with it....

I would, however, keep reminding him that he said it was your decision...so you did nothing wrong. Besides, he'll get tired of being in the 'doghouse' before too long (did you like the pun?):rofl:

Paz y amor a ti',

MK

Bishop,

You have to buy into it. Our Lord DID change his mind....Sodom and Gomorrah .
