Just saying hi to Amby, NA, and Maria...and any other Commie that may be around.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

*yawn* Good Mornin' my commie family...been up since 6:30am. I guess my internal clock stays on schedule if nothing else does. Time to go find some coffee.

So what's everyone going to do on this fine Sunday?

I was up before 6:30....geez, why do I get up this darn early I'll never know. I think I will walk the snapper then get ready for church. It has been awhile since I attended service, and I miss it. I made up my mind last night that I'm going.

What are your plans?

After some soul searching (seriously) yesterday I think I will go to church somewhere too. I cannot believe ALL people who refer to themselves as Christian are so judgmental and self righteous. All I am used to is a legalistic fundamentalist background...time for a change methinks.

Other than that...I have a paper to finish this afternoon. :)

legalistic fundamentalist background..

Same here...and it turned me off from church for many years. A few years ago I made up my mind to go to a church, but I had no idea what church or where. I prayed as I sat in my car for G-d to direct me to where He wanted me to be and I ended up in the church I'm at now...it isnt close to me, but as soon as I walked through those doors...I knew that was where G-d placed me.

Glad you are going to service, Comrade Karen!

Good Morning Commies!

Lgg...good for you in your contemplation...if you need anything let me know, would love to hear/discuss...

Nagi - do you mind if I ask which church you go to, and I'm glad that you're going back...

Amby - what are you studying in school?

For me...just still staining the deck, it is slow going but AAm helped me yesterday so its moving along...she's working OT today at two jobs though...and rain clouds are hovering...so I'm about to flip a coin on whether or not to continue on the deck or become a footballveggie today...most likely I'll do both

Paz a todos,

Comrade Bishop

*yawn* Good Mornin'.

Coffee in hand...syllabus on the desk...gotta start writing that bloody paper for class. Have a kitchen to clean up as well. Gotta find a way to motivate my munchkin to get her room cleaned up. Methinks timeout or even a long weekend grounding might do the trick. It's so hard to be 10 yrs old you know. :D

So all you Christians on here....answer me this: Why is it that Christians are some of the MOST unforgiving people on the face of this Earth? Why is it so freakin hard to forgive and move forward...and how can you profess to love God with unforgiveness in your heart towards someone?

I'm thinking this is one major reason why I've had such a hard time believing in anything...know what I mean jellybean?

Oh ya...Sister BertieMae...I thought I'd add my two cents on this topic, even though Nagi and others have given you great replies...

In my experience, I think that it is important to remember that 'forgiveness' and 'forgetting' are not synonymous terms. Therefore, alot of people forgive with their words, but whatever offense they are forgiving usually leaves a stain on them that is not so easy to 'forget'. So, in their hearts, they know and want to forgive ('right intention')...but they might find it not-so-easy to simultaneouly 'forget' (fail on performing the 'right action').

Since you asked for a Christian reply, I'll say that I believe that this is why Christ urged us to 'forgive' our brothers/sisters up to 77 x 7 times (Gospel of Matthew 18:22). You know, it seems at times that '7' is Christ's favorite number :yes: , but what I suspect is that Christ recognized that the soul longs to do the 'right action' of forgiveness, but our own sinful nature makes it difficult for us to come full circle by also completing the 'right action' of forgetting the initial offense. That, again in my theological opinion, is why Christ urges us to forgive 'perpetually' (a.k.a 77x7). It is through repetition that our 'right action' of true/complete forgiveness begins to align with our 'right intention' of forgiveness. It is through this process that we become more Christ-like, and approach a more complete, practical and spiritual understanding of Christ's Love.

Hope this helps!

Hi Commies.

I am going to be taking a couple days off from VJ. It's starting to really get on my nerves with all the progress others are having and I have none.

As soon as I hear anything I will be back.

Love to you all.

I am still so sad today. This young man's last fb post was "30 shots in 3 hours. Thanks x,x, and x for helping me break a new record." The x's are 3 other former students. Yesterday all the kids (okay, they're 19-23 but still) posted things like RIP CKB etc. Last night it was back to "who wants to party?!" I just want to scream at them YOU ARE NOT INVINCIBLE. Don't go out and DRINK in his honor. Realize that life is fleeting.

GAH.
