4/6/2010 letter from NVC arrives to son dated 3/4/2010
5/4/10 received AOS and DS3032 via email
9/22/10 Interview BOG Passed
10/3/10 POE JFK all went well
11/11/10 GC Received smile.png

Funny story about my first day of university. I went to school on the east coast, and I insisted that I moved by myself. My parents didn't know exactly how much the tuition check was supposed to be for because every time they called, there was some sort of fee added on. So, they deposited the amount in my account and told me to write the check when I found out the proper amount. Well, first day of class rolls around and I haven't paid it. I get a call that I need to pay it ASAP. I went to the bank, and was going to get a bank check for the amount the woman told me on the phone, but the teller informs me that there is a $15 fee for a check of that size. FFS $15 is like 2 cases of Natural light beer back then!!!! So of course, I did the only rational thing and withdrew the money IN CASH. You should have seen the Revenue Dept. lady's face when I handed her $15,430 in cash. It was all in $20 because they told me they didn't have it all in $5 bills. Now in hindsight, that really was a douchy thing to do, even by my standards. It's college though, makes people even more douchy than usual :lol:

You need to use Schwab bank. No fees for anything...atm fees worldwide are refunded. It's like banks should be (I wanna murder BOA)!

6/28/09 Appointment (packet 4) never mailed, had to ask to get email-they've got correct addresses

7/23/09 Interview Scheduled for 7:00am (A YEAR AFTER SUBMISSION)!!!!!!!!!!! APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

7/28/09 Pick up visa

8/11/09 She came to the USA with me!
