My eldest kitty is very sick. She's been throwing up all day and having running poopy. We don't have the money to take her to the vet (we spent $900 on the other one just in June). She doesn't want to move around, isn't purring (she purrs ALL THE TIME) and is crying every now and then. We're going to force some water down her throat because her gums are sticky and there is no moisture on her nose.

0h dear! how old is she? Are her gums purple?Please try to get her some medical attention

ASAP !! I will pray for her.

She's 11 in November. Her gums aren't purple - they're normal color. She's doing a bit better, she's pooped a couple of times now. I'm trying to get her to stand up and am massaging her tummy/back as that seems to encourage her to go to the bathroom. I'm also giving her water ever hour or so - 10ml worth.

I wouldn't force water for a kitty; they're usually pretty smart about their health (that's just my 23 cents).

Not giving a kitty water when they are refusing food and water is giving it a death sentence. Cats are very sensitive to not having food/water. After about 3 days without food their liver starts shutting down and becoming fatty.

Thank you all very much for the prayers. She seems to be much better this morning - woke us up meowing like crazy for food. Got up and gave her some food and she went to town.

can kittys have stomach bugs like we humans do?

I know that some human cold viruses cause runny poop and achy stomach in dogs

hey, sister, we saw i can do bad all by myself. great movie by tyler perry, as usual :yes:

we tried, but the two roller rinks both closed at 4 on sundays. and it was already a quarter till :(
