hubster wants a beagle, I'm more up for a bigger dog. we could have puppy from one of hubbys collegues, but they started giving them away when they were 6 weeks old, that is way too early. so we decided against those. we're moving next weekend into a big house with a big yard and I think I'll start looking around at the vets if someone wants to give away some mixies. I heard that the miami pet shelter always has some puppies looking for a good home so maybe we start looking there.

My favorite breed would be an Old English sheep dog, but I think it's too hot here for those. Still can't understand why some people here have to have huskies

Beagles??!!! Excellent choice! I have only believed there were 2 breeds in existence...Beagles and German Shepherd Dogs. My last Beagle passed away the 4th of July and my other beloved Shepherd passed a month ago.

Old English Sheep dogs...too much grooming involved.

God will direct you to the pup He has already picked out for you, don't you worry about that.

I have some experience with dogs. I think I'll find the right one, it just has to click.

My first dog was a German Shepherd-Dachshound-Black Something Mix, I had to put him down last year , he had a long life (15 years). And I had a pure blooded Dalmatian I got from the pet shelter, they got her from a puppy mill, supposedly she was 9 yrs old but I think she was younger, for 5 years she had a happy life with us until she went cookoo and aggressive out of the blue. She was a strange dog anyways.

I used to dogsit for a friend of mine, she always has a lot of dogs and other animals. I moved in to her house while she was on vacation so that the dogs would stay in their usual environment and someone had to take care of the yard and the other animals anyways.
