0k, I decided NOT to eat...I did have a cup of coffee this morning and am paying the price for it now.

Therapy is in a few hours. 0h joy, 0h rapture! I don't need my head examined, I need a lower GI.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Thanks, Comrade's Mal and K ! I think it is God's way of getting my attention, however I could be wrong about this.

sister Cheeto, make sure you translate your resume CULTURALLY, not literally -- US resumes are so much different than elsewhere. I used to teach classes about immigrant carrers and #######, so I am your b1tch for advise

Concentrate on skills.

Do not translate your title as is. Example: In sunny Mexico I was be the (check this ####### out) Advisory Coordinator -#######, eh?- for a University President. In Canada, this is more like a "Provost", and in the US it is "Chief of Staff". Hence, literally translating is worth #######. Check out similar positions to the ones you've had in the past, and see what the fvkc they are called here.

There is a book by Lionel Laroche that is awesome; but I can't remember the name right now. Dayum.

I is applying for all sort of jobs, need to get out of the house. was applying for front desk job at a hotel near the airport. couldn't get past the former employer BS. I graduated last year, couldn't find a job in my field because of imminent immigration. can't find job here in my field, because me has no work experience. (me is translator and interpreter for German and English). Oh, well, back to the applications for an unpaid internship at those huge translating agencies....

Thanks for your help, Len

me haz beer, me haz happy now. :jest:
