Ugh, still sick. Wife is even worse, but absolutely refuses to go to the doctor. ####### did I spend all morning with my HR department adding her to my insurance for? Bah, I'm gonna just tell her we're going for ice cream and drive her to the doctor

Just drag her to the doctors office, i'm sure if i spent all that time adding my SO to my insurance then i would drag him too. If she's as sick as you say, don't take NO for an answer, goodness knows how sick she really is, could be bronchitis, pneumonia or anything, not trying to scare you. But i'd make her go!!

just my 2 cents! :P

Take a letter, Maria...and send it to my wife..

Anyone remember that cheesy song? That guy was a real coward ... couldnt even confront his own wife. Sheesh! She is better off without that knucklehead.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Good idea, Comrade K.

Well, the snapper had a good report....he gained 7 pounds since his last visit September 3rd, I believe. He was wormed again just as a precaution and given his last booster. Antibiotic ointment given to help heal a sore (?) on the dew claw....if it doesn't go away he will have to have the whole dew claw removed. He has one gonad way up near his stomach that has to be removed at some point.

Came back, sick as I am and mowed the lawn.....now Im ready to rest. The snapper is already sleeping soundly.

Rob....I recommend you enroll your puppy in obedience class....good for the pup and owner. Perhaps this puppy was the dominate one of the litter. Perhaps your other dog was very passive . About the house training...is she at the age of getting spayed?

I think she is not only dominate but with that territorial.

She was spayed very young. She's very jealous of our other dog. Normally, they get along, and play with each other. They wrestle, but we try to break that up as soon as possible now because she has snarled several times at him now. With training her to get her to go to the bathroom outside, we'd take her out and give her a treat if she did it. Now she has decided that she will go out and pee a very small amount to get the treat, then go back inside and pee. It's not in the same spot, it's not in a manner to mark things, I don't know.

Stop the treats! Just use praise.

If she is going on a small rug in the house, take the rug outside to the spot she pees at. Perhaps it is just a stage she is going through, but I still say she is out to prove to everyone she is Alpha female. Have you thought of putting her back in a crate, not as punishment, but dog's don't usually soil where they have to sleep.

We have crate trained her, and she is OK for when we go out and cannot take them. We initially had two crates, but they would always try to jump into each others to be with them, so we bought one meant for a bull mastiff/ great dane that they both go in now. However, she goes absolutely nuts if she is in there and we are home. Would you suggest putting her in there as a punishment when she either pees in the house or other misbehaviors? She doesn't pee on a rug, actually, she will not pee on any of our rugs or lineoleum, only the carpet.

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Hoping the sick commies are feeling better (L)

Is there something in the air making fellow commies sick (L)

*sniff sniff* I smell....BACON...lol

Sister Nagilini sure is seasoned in the animal department, ain't she? :)

Me, I had 3 kids and that is enough responsibility for anyone. Had a dog once, didn't go over well.

The creature never listened and we just didn't have the time to really work with her and train her well.

Take my rugrats as example

Yes Bishop it is a nice time a year around here, in fact, anytime of year when the temperature stays above 75 degrees and there isn't an inkling of snow is my time of year. Once Nov 1 hits I will officially be in hibernation.
