Welcome back, Bishop! Glad you are safe. Lions? are you THAT bored??!!??

Im reading a good booklet on the rapture.Tell me, are you pre trib, mid trib, or post trib?

Im not sure what I believe anymore regarding this subject.

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

Hello Dearest Nagilita,

Hmmmmm... .....difficult topic. I wouldn't say that I am pre/mid/post...but rather A-mellennial. Summary below:

"The amillennial view interprets the Book of Revelations symbolically and sees the millennium not as an earthly golden age in which the world will be totally Christianized, but as the present period of Christ’s rule in heaven and on the earth through his Church."

Hence...and this is important...there is no 'pre/med/post'...there is only 'now'...which is the the Amillenialistic view...total focus on only the current moment.

However, I agree with you that it is a difficult topic...and I don't really know 'where' to stand on this (hence, the amellinneal stance, per se). It seems that a lot of the Evangelical Protestants spend an immense amount of time on this topic...but, in my own personal view, that isn't the best way to spend to spend time. Revelations is a great end to a great story, but it is not to be interpreted literally (where is Evangelicals often fail). Plus, though I do find that 'pondering death' is a worthy topic for anyone (helps create balance with a properly lived life - ying/yang) spending a particularly large amount of time on the interpretation of the Book of Revelations is not required. What is required is to learn how to live a life like Christ lived, or at least do our best ;) not to focus/debate on how he's going to 'end His great show'...because no matter how He ends it (pre/mid/post, or amillenial) if we follow his words, we'll be ready  So, honestly, while I love to read the Book of Revelations, I avoid too much speculative conversation about it...cuz it usually just leads to 'strong opinions of the intellect', which I don't much care for...cuz I'm just a reglar dude

Did that make any sense?

Peace to you sweets,

BishopM

Yes, I suppose it makes sense, Bishop. But I think Christ's teachings also foretell of the end times, so I can't pick and choose parts of the Word to select as fact...I have to pay attention to all of it and believe that it is all fact.

Mal, no I have not paid attention to those series', but I do know about it and yes, it is scary and it is meant to be scary as G-D's wrath will be poured out on mankind, rather those who are anti-Christ. Make no mistake, G-D WILL have the final say. That in itself scares me.

Of course I also believe it is fact/true as well my Dearest Nagi. Christ also said, "Seek first the Kingdom"...so I focus on that, which is always in the 'now'...and then He also said, "Do not worry"...so I don't worry about Revelation. If I seek, then I'll be fine when God decides to end his Great Show!

(F)(L) to you my Dear!

Since you are not a Commie, Im going to tell you that what you are doing with your pet is downright cruel. Did you ever try training your dog in obedience?

Did you ever consider BEFORE getting your dog that it is going to bark at some point? Personally, I can't put up with a constant yapper but maybe, just maybe the dog is barking for a reason....it is unhappy, it is without food or water, it is being neglected...whatever.

Bringing in the dog is one thing, but using some noise device instead of taking the time to teach the dog yourself is quite another. Remember.....

There is no such thing as a bad dog, only a bad owner.

:o

I agree with the bolded statement

Why is it that the only one who can stop the crying is the one who started it in the first place?

Thanks all...

S'what I think too -- not really too many bad dogs but bad owners. Then again? I tend to prefer dogs to people anyway.

ANd.... what the hell? Went and exercised and then got some groceries and I heard one of my favourite Tragically Hips songs being played, Wheat Kings. I realized it was a guy with a guitar outside the liquor store and for the first time in ages I was like, "i am giving that dude ALL my spare change..."

So refreshing from the scary guys going, "gimme some money..." to which I think in my head, "** off..."... I give money once in awhile, I make my yearly xmas donations but I am not a rich girl and frankly? Do i have to give some guy my hard-earned money who says, "gimme money..."? i think not.

Sad thing is? When I come out of the grocery, the guitar player was gone. He was really freaking good, people.

Anyway. Just a little weekend anecdote for all my commie buddies. Hope you're well and all had lovely weekends.
