May I inquire what species of trees you were busy planting?

May I inquire what species of trees you were busy planting?

We just bought a house and my wife stated that she wants to plant three trees in the front yard. Is it correct that Autumn is a good time for tree planting? I've heard that, even though Fall and winter are here/coming...that the root system still grows alot in the winter...so that planting now is good.

Is that correct?
