It took me more than a month to get my PCC from Chandigarh passport office and it delayed my case but finally i got it.. reason they stated for delay was because my passport was made in Tatkal so they had to do new police inquiry although i submitted the district police clearence when i applied for PCC

So i got a stamp on passport stating its all clear and im eligble for USA immigration but the certificate they have given along states following

holder of Indian passport No ***** issued on 30/07/2007 at CHANDIGARH which would be render him ineligible for grant of travel facilities including visa for USA.

Is it right? i mean the language seems a bit awkward as it says "which would be render him ineligible for grant of travel facilities including visa for USA." rather than saying " that makes him eligible for travel etc" Or is it that everybody gets it like this only? i need to know that ...

One more thing.. shud i get my wife s name listed on my passport is it necessary now or can i do it later on.. and if i need it now...what documents i need from her.And how long it will take them to update that...
