I posted 2 months ago that my sister applied for a visa to visist me in Cairo embassy ... then she got denied and I was so devastated but we tried again and Thank god she was accepted 2 weeks ago... Right now she is on teh airplane to JFK... The problem is I booked her oneway ticket because she is staying with me for like 5 months untill I take my Medical Board exam! and when she got to Egypt Airport the egyptian officer never let her get in teh airplane or even check in before she actually book a round trip ticket and Of course because she called me and I paniked I didn't think staright at all I could have booked her right there a ticket back from EGyptAIr from JFK to Cairo but when you are paniked you never think straight!!!!!

sothe guy at the airport suggest she book a ticket to Canada so thsi way she can get on the airplane? which stupidely I did! now she is in the airplane and I am sooooooooooooooooo scared they may ban her from getting US for life just because my mistake that I never knew i can't book a oneway ticket with B2 visa!

I did book her oneway because my mum has a B2 and she came last year with a B2 and no body gave her any hard time neither at the cairo Airport nor the POE in New York!!! I am so sick worried about my sister don't know what to do?

do they ask you for your itinary for your ticket back at the POE?... DO you think they may send her back?? will they call me ?

Our time line for CR1 visa took only 5 months and 1 week or 156 days; from the filing the I-130 on the 03-12-2009 to Approval of NOA2 on the 05/13/2009, then Interview on the 08/18/2009 at Manila, Philippines. We had a daughter on the 11-12-2010 named AISHA JOY means HAPPY LIFE.a1_opt-1.jpga2_opt-1.jpga3_opt-1.jpg

She is still on the original flight? But has a ticket booked thru canda as well? Im a little confused. So, she still doesnt have a return ticket home for her visitor visa? I would book her a return ticket ASAP. oh, I guess its late now...she's already been to POE if she was flying yesterday.

Let us know what happened. Good Luck

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!
