Hello,

Its been a while since I posted here. My timeline is ancient and I have since gotten my

fiance to the US and we've been married for 3 years now and have a daughter. My

mother-in-law has visited us in the past on a B2 visa. She has Ukrainian citizenship

and passport. I have heard that there is a new entry form for US visitors called the ESTA.

Has anyone had a relative visit the US from Ukraine recently and did they have to

fill out the ESTA before coming? Its unclear to me if she would need this if she already

has the B2.

Thanks and good luck to you all on your visa jouneys!

The Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) applies to countries that have visa waivers programs. Ukraine is not one of those countries.

Check this out: http://travel.state.gov/visa/temp/without/....html#countries

It will probably be quite a while before Ukraine can enjoy visa waiver, if ever. We can only hope someday it will happen. Ukraine will likely need to become part of the European Commonwealth or at least NATO.
