Forgot to mention that my wife went 4 days later to pick up the visa.

I sent HCMC an email today letting them know about technical issues on the website dead links etc... I want to ask someone there if the next day at 4PM mentioned on the website is BS or if that is the truth... Based on everyone here its BS... everyone is waiting 4+days

I wonder what they would do if we showed up the next day at 4 as the website says...lol

Oh yeah.. and thanks to Bee.. I know know there are even more red flags than you and I discussed before... There are some issues related to her being from the north and having relatives in the party...

How long did you have to wait to get your Visa after they gave you a pink slip?

I got interview on 07 Aug and got my visa on 17 Aug.

But i saw some people who had pink slips came to pick up their visa but had to go home with blue slips as they said the case is being reviewed. Never hear a pink slip turns to blue one.

Perhaps a noob CO is having all of their approved cases reviewed by a superior consular officer...

Thuan is picking her visa up this wednesday; so exactly 1 week after her interview.

Wow, it seems you had a very fast and smooth visa journey going through HCMC. People should be paying you for advice here. Congrats!

I recently heard about a denial shortly after a pink when they called the family in the north and found out they were party members... Said dont worry coming back for visa.

Why would they do that AFTER the visa was already approved? Wouldn't they do that investigation before they handed out the pink slip?

Unless the one getting the visa was a communist then just because others in her family are has no bearing. Most here have family working for the government and most have some family that are commies but they tend to get their visa'

That's what I thought. I was told that being a party member was almost a requirement in order to get a government job.

I wish I knew all of the details about how it went down, but it freaked me out bigtime... from what she said.. the girl got pink.. went home.. a call was made the question came up and the visa was denied at the end of the call. And it all happened after the pink.. that really threw me... talk about a mind-'F'

Maybe it's an offshoot of my previous suggestion about a noob CO having their approved cases reviewed by a senior CO.

Can you imagine? You guys get your pink... then head back to Phuongs house and they call and say.. we made a mistake.. we're gonna deny it, don't bother coming back it's on it's way back to USCIS... I know they shuffle folks around alot, but damn if they had a noob in there at HCMC, its the wrong place for a noob.. Vancouver maybe but not HCMC....
