Hi!

I am one of the many lucky couples who have recently been put in Additional Processing. The lovely lady on the phone said that she didnt have a timeline lol (no matter how many different ways I worded my question), and she also added that ALL applicants go through this. I was just bemused as a lot of apps have been through NVC in only a matter of days and yes, my fiancee received that letter :)

Funny thing is, it takes me about 3 times calling NVC to get any information, because whoever filed the paperwork on the system got my fiancee's Date of Birth wrong - I've emailed them a copy of her passport but they are yet to update it. Despite this, some of the agents answering the phone ignore the fact that I have told them the wrong date, and tell me that our case has been there for 13 days and that since a few years now this has been the norm - I am just wondering if the reason I am waiting is because they have Britt's D.O.B wrong and they can't verify who she is etc.. funny considering they have ALL of the evidence they need - even the CORRECT date on the I-129F, Passport, birth cert.. need i go on? lol. Would this be a reason do you think?

Anyway, rant over

Just one last query, once i receive the Packet 3 checklist (I already have my paperwork ready) and send it back - do I just sit and wait to receive the packet 4 with an interview date in it or can I call sooner to book one asap?

Thanks guys..

We're in the same club, since July 29th. We are hanging out here http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...p;#entry3242321, and we'd love to see your progress when you come out of AP. Quite a few London-bound people stuck in AP.

Ian and I have been through all the possibilities of why we would be held up and can't think of a thing which would cause such a long delay. We can only say, "It's entirely random".

Good luck for a speedy departure from NVC.
