Our scheduled biometrics was 09/03, so after getting some advice from the VJ'ers here, we chose to try to walk in yesterday (Saturday) and it was fairly empty. The security guard was professional and looked over all our documents. She was really pleasant though and wasn't a hard a**. Then my husband filled out the form and walked over to the receptionist. They took his picture and a dozen different fingerprints and we were out of there in 30 minutes.

We've also sent back the RFE we got. So, now we are just waiting!

Hi Michey & Odessa,

We live in the Twin Cities area of Minnesota. Our only office in this area is in St. Paul, MN. We received our letter with the date of 09/03/2009 as the scheduled biometrics appointment date. As you know, the EAD card for the 765 requires the biometrics and I've seen some say they got their EAD card 45days ish from the biometrics, and others have said between 60 and 90. So it does seem to be a guess on how quickly they will get it processed. Someone in the Twin Cities area told me their forms have been processed on the quicker side of the scale, but we'll just have to wait and see.

Because my husband needs to be employed, we didn't want to wait that extra two weeks. I did a post here on VJ and some folks that were local told me that Saturday is probably the best day to go in. So, we got all our paperwork and went there. I went up to the security guard and very politely said, "hello, we need a biometrics and I've been told that we could come in and see if you had any available times for a walk in today." She said they usually do not and then looked at the schedule and told us that they would be able to get to us today. I thanked her and we ended up walking out about 30 minutes later.

I'm not sure if that helps you in anyway, but that's the detail we have.

Good luck!

MN Couple
