Hehehe, he'd be more likely to get all that by hiring a cook, a housekeeper and a prostitute. Not that such women don't exist, but they're looking for a real marriage where they are partners and valued for who they are not just what they do.

Edited by Kathryn41

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

My friend Tony has a friend who is a Doctor originally from China who is looking for a Colombian woman to marry and bring here to the USA. He refuses to consider women from his native China because they, "Are high-maintenance, complain, and spend too much money...." He does not want this woman to learn English, or she will, "Change." He wants her to cook and clean, give good loving, and not complain. I told my friend to tell the Doctor - "She does not exist if you're looking in Colombia!"

OMG! Is he dreaming??? I'm just lucky my Finn Man isn't like that doctor. I don't even cook. Cleaning is not my forte. I don't have time for that-I work too much! I do give good loving though...which should make up for the lack of the other stuff! And I speak my mind....which includes complaining occasionally.

Our timeline:

2/88: We met in Sydney, Australia at a youth hostel! He's Finnish, I'm American-both were in our early 20s at the time and fresh out of college (so couldn't afford to visit each other's countries after that!). We had a three-day romance, then went our separate ways. He actually was going to Sydney a week later, but decided at the last minute to cut his trip short in another country and go early. Wow.

1988-1998: Wrote "snail mail" letters/sent Xmas cards, but lived our separate lives. I married someone else, divorced in 2006...he lived with someone for years and then that ended.

10/08: Because of a series of random life events, I Googled my Finn Man and found him (but no link to his email, and the website his name was on was in Estonian so I couldn't even read it!). It took me two weeks to find a link to someone else, who forwarded my email to him (we were both single at the time thankfully!!!!). The email went to his spam folder but he happened to check it that day and responded back to me immediately! This was after 10 years of no contact and almost 21 years of not seeing each other after we first met.

11/08-5/09: We traveled back and forth to visit each other. Love at first (second?) sight!

7/09: Married in Helsinki, Finland...after meeting randomly 21 1/2 years ago and finding each other again!!!!!

8/13/09: I-130 sent!!!!!!!!!

Rest is on my timeline!

Both partners should WANT to do things for each other. Ana and I even argue over who will do more for who (just being cute is all, not real arguing). She does insist she'll do the cooking and cleaning, but that doesn't mean I won't help her in every every every way I can.

Some wives don't allow their husband's into the kitchen, or allow them to do the cleaning. I've seen it quite often. However, that doesn't mean one should just sit around doing nothing. There are other jobs we have like someone mentioned, mowing, yardwork, oil-changes, house maintenance, etc etc..

Remind him we women want a man thats understanding, kind, giving, excellect lover but yet he can mow the yard, fix the plumbing and electricity, has a good job but comes home to take the kids to sports practice and still has time to help cook dinner...when he can equal all this then he can look for his ms perfect

Dont get me wrong but I am all for working as a team but dam this seems a little excessive. Your man comes home after working all day(as you did to, I know I know taking care of the kids isnt easy or maybe you work too)does the honey do list then takes kids to sports practice and comes home to cook dinner. Thats not a perfect man thats a whipped man.

Comments : She recived the first notice from Manila on Valentines day. Perfect timing.

The first setback came during the medical. Naty had to do the 3 day sputum and then we waited 2 months for the results. YESSSS>came back negative

Went for her interview on July 16th and received her Pink Slip......Finally. Paid the AIR21 and I expect her here August 10th, 2009. Marriage will be August 21st, exactly 4 years to the day that we first met.

Sounds like your Chinese friend has been playing with too many Chinese made products.. he must be off his head! I think he needs to get a blow up doll and hire a maid. No person in the world should allow themselves to be treated like a slave to anyone.

Then why is it in China etc, you can get all that for 100 per month? do they change for American/ western men when here.? Or its a job there and here its expected from Macho guy? who knows as each mind is different. Maybe its I dont need husband in states, bcoz i can obtain all myself dont need to be personal slave. on lighter note, My husband told me when he arrived, and when we were together in Korea, wife does this wife does that for husband, fresh bread and etc. was ok when i wasnt working, liked it (as others have said) Funny thing when we live together here, my friends from his country (wife) says, why you doing all that. buy here get here and make in 30 minutes the meal.(even most are stay at home with kids etc talking to each other and computer etc. lol) ahh we have good times confusing the husbands.(albeit most times going towork is whole heck of alot easier than staying home cleaning and cooking, chasing kids) Big complaining can occure but only in private. or with few friends who can straighten him i mean the problem out.
