07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't support affidavits supposed to be written by those who know/met/interacted with the BOTH of you as a couple?

I mean, your mom could testify her son is a great kid with good morals but if she's never met the fiancee/wife, what is she supposed to say about them? "She makes my son happy," isn't gonna be enough, is it?

I have 8 affidavits from our common friends at college who interacted with us not only separately but also as a couple including double-dating, eating dinners at each other's apartment, playing Risk, studying together, grocery shopping etc. Each one touched upon different occasions we spent in their company but the format is pretty much the same. My roommate wanted to know if she could testify to being "sexiled" from our dorm room. :)

Si man, but others who are aware of the relationship can also write, and attest to the integrity & believability of the petitioner.
I mean, your mom could testify her son is a great kid with good morals but if she's never met the fiancee/wife, what is she supposed to say about them? "She makes my son happy," isn't gonna be enough, is it?
I believe that Mama T-B.'s letter to the ####### Guayaquil consulate was the one (among several possibilities) that could have saved the day.
