Hello all,

I received my GC 10 days after my interview. That was fast! yay! this paper work is finally over for now!!

Btw I am wondering If I still need visa to enter to Canada. My husband and I want to visit friends in Canada. Can I enter to Canada with my permanent resident card or do i still need visa? Thanks!

All you need is your green card to enter Canada. No other visa is necessary.

hi i would like to add...please the call Canadian consul just because you have green card does not mean you can enter canada, i was under that impression i was traveling to toronto and fortunataly i called before i left and was told green card is not a canadian visa, i'm from mexico and i required no visa just my mexican passport and the canadian poe they stamp it. you should check there website i don't recall the address right now but google it. they will have instructions depending on your country of citizenship. in addition they might ask you at poe if you have a green card in addition to your visa or passport because it makes it easier for them to get namecheck. they do a name check on everyone entering canada,, i believe they look for everything including DUI's and they can turn you away if you had one.

add:ok i just look at there website they changed the rules i was just there in january..wow but yup looks like you're ok with just your green card now.
