He has to drop one citizenship of one of the country before he can become a USC and that is more likely to be is adopted country because he will ever be a citizen of his birth country and to my knowledge no country in the world allows an individual to be or have 3 citizenship but dual (2 countries) are allowed and the second has or MUST be one's country of birth... Anyway i hope am either right or wrong and hopefully other members will add to your post.

K&O

My husband and I are about to apply for his K-3. He has a UK passport and a South African Passport. Do we need to provide both of these when applying? Will he have to give up one of these to get his US citizenship or will he be able to have all 3?

Getting a K-3 visa does not require giving up citizenship (or passport). Further down the line (once in the US) there is no requirement for a permanent resident to acquire US citizenship. So this is not a decision that needs to be made either right away or ever, if you chose.

Not true! Since there can be several ways to acquire a given country's citizenship, it is possible for someone to be considered a citizen under the laws of two (or more) countries at the same time. This is what is meant by dual (or multiple) citizenship.
