hey Xylide , i am so happy to see u here and hope now after u talk to pinayamerican every thing will be ok. hope u get and pinay american also get the money back, good luck to u both, abby n sherl

Same here :)

I tried to edit my post, but I guess I took to long to reply!

Sorry you two got scammed.

I learned really fast over there not to trust anyone. Just from the cab ride to my fiance's.

I asked my fiance how much it was to get her to the airport from her home, and the return trip was triple.

After telling the driver this, he dropped the fare down to just a little over what she told me it was.

And then when we were flying to the province, she had never flown before, and I didn't know that. So I was letting her handle it, and next thing we know. We were walking all around the airport but not entering Cebu Pacific. After about a half our of running from here to there, and everywhere inbetween, I called a halt to the procedings and took my bag back and walked straight to the ticket stand at cebu pacific and sent her in with the tickets to register for our flight. Little bit later, we were flying out :)

This is not a problem with xylide personally, but nonetheless a problem on these boards. I am not trying to start a fight and I am definitely not trying to say that "English is a superior language", so please don't misunderstand me.

I come to these boards, an American who speaks only English, and find that many of the posts are in the OP's native language from the Philippines. It's hard to keep interest in something when I open the topic and find that I cannot understand what it says. On the contrary, I think most Filipinos that are in a relationship with a USC can understand at least a fair amount of English already without having to learn anything new. I know that maybe those people feel more comfortable in their own language and don't mean any offense by what I am saying. I also don't mean any offense in asking if people can post in English too so that the USC here, most of whom speak English I would assume, could participate in the conversation as well and possibly provide some help/information. Even if it is not the intent, it makes me feel like those posters want to talk amongst only Filipinos, knowing that most Americans don't understand them. I realize that is probably not the case and its more of a comfort level, but I hope those others can realize its very exclusionary. I also realize that not every post is in the languages of the Philippines. I am just asking as a courtesy that you at least consider using English when posting if possible.

Thanks for the time in reading.

I'm glad that Xylide is now visible. Xylide, it isn't my intention to brigh this topic up. But it has been a long time since it happens and you have been quiet for such time and it bothers me a lot. I just want you to help me and my family, I mean, let our families work on it. If you are willing to solve this case, let our parents do it. We didn't lose a little amount of money. Thanks for replying. Hope to settle this.

another problem here is that the philippine justice system is very slow and even if you sued the agency, it will only exhaust you financially and emotionally. lesson learned here: dont be too trusting. make sure the travel agent has a good reputation next time. to pinayamerican and xylide, be prepared for a long court battle if you intend to pursue this case. good luck to you both.

If I were the victim of scammed, I CAN'T SIT AND WAIT for what pinayamerican reaction. I will be excited and will ask about it if she finally got the money back etc. surely I felt bad about it that I mislead her. :innocent:

Wow this is so scary. Sorry for what you been through Pinay American...$800 bucks is not a joke. I got my ticket directly from the PAL ticketing center in the Airport. My husband booked it online and after that he just send me the money thru western union. On the day of my flight I just went straight to the ticketing area in the Airport and pay my ticket there. Right there and then they give me my ticket. No hassle at all.
