Got the k1 NOA2 already, however I got nosy and called the NVC to check status....the young man said the case was received Friday 14th Aug but it is in Additional Processing...I was like...ok.............then I called 2 times this last week and neither said that, just that its there and in processing....then TODAY, Saturday, I got that so called standard letter dated Aug 20th stating that they have the petition and a new CASE# and will be forwarding it to the embassy within a week. So do I go with that or do I still think I'm gonna be the "STUCK IN THE NVC" bunch and have to WAIT who knows how long till they process me? I'm totally confused on that, part of me thinks I should just think NORMAL, till otherwise noted. But then others have probably got that notice and are still in genuine AP.

So i don't know what to think now!

Nope, which means your petition is moving forward to your fiance's embassy.

Case number is the one to use so you can schedule her for the interview.

It's now going to the hands of that embassy who will process her visa, depends on the outcome of her medical/interview...

Good luck!

Congrats, the long wait is very near. The next things will be the 3 rd package, which I discovered does not exist at least for the US Manila embassy. There was a URL address on the NVC letter; the one with the case number. I opened the State Department's website and found that by selecting the MNL embassy and clicking the consulate specific information there was a link to a document that apparently replaced the 3rd package. At this point the fiancee can call the embassy for an interview appointment once all the forms and I-134 documents are ready. In the UK the US Embassy may still be sending out a form that is packet 3, which needs to be sent back. Good luck and God bless.

When we were at the NVC stage, we received the standard letter telling us that our information was being forwarded to the embassy in a week. However, I found out that it had not been forwarded because it was stuck in AP. It took about a month to get out of AP then all was well. My point is that your paperwork may still be with NVC - the standard letter seems to be just that standard in some cases. I am not trying to make you feel bad - you might be ok. I am just suggesting that you may want to check again with the NVC to see if your information was actually sent to the embassy. If has not been sent yet, the NVC won't give you a time-frame for how long it with be in AP. All will be well and hopefully your information has really moved to the next stage by now.
