Hi all!

I'm new to this site. Right now I'm in the process of waiting for my interview date which will take place sometime in Sept/Oct.

Once I receive my visa and enter the USA, I will ask the border officials to stamp my I-94 for work authorization. The question I have is how long am I eligible to work in the USA? I've read somewhere that it's only good as the same time the visa expires which is only 90 days. Is this correct? And if I don't get the work authorization stamped at customs, what do I do in order to work as soon as possible when I enter the US?

Any feedback will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Hi. Yes, the temporary work permit you may get at the airport is only valid for 90 days. To see what to do if you don't get one, please check the guides: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...mp;page=k1k3ead

I only offer advice - not even legal. Just the plain and simple kind.

The only Airport that is known to give a Temp Work Permit is JFK (New York) and yes they only last 90 days so sometimes not worth the trouble. You would have to get married straight away and apply for AOS straight after (next day) sort of thing for this to work, even then it might not all come together.

Good Luck

Janice
