Ayman and Yasmina: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showuser=69226

Lover500: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showuser=60218

and then the next night it's

Kenza's Husband turn at their Embassy! http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showuser=62355

Waleed said he's got his evidence prepared. He's got his suit cleaned and he's going to shave in the morning and head down there. The interviews start for us in the US tonight around 9:30 pm Pacific Time, 10:30 pm MTN, 11:30 pm Central, and 12:30 am Eastern so it's going to be a long night before we hear anything. I look forward to hearing the news from how it went with the other two!

Thank you everybody for supporting me in this long process and being there in all the ups and downs! Also thank you for all the well wishes and mojo these past few days! I encourage you all if you have time to visit the profiles and send them your best wishes too! Best Wishes you guys!

And as always Happy Caturday! :luv:

Any news yet?

Happy Caturday and wishing all the best to those who are interviewing!

Don't just open your mouth and prove yourself a fool....put it in writing.

It gets harder the more you know. Because the more you find out, the uglier everything seems.

 Their interviews don't start for several hours. It's at 7:30 am on August 23rd.

Here's the current local time in Cairo: http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/city.html?n=53

^^^

I'll be watching that link a lot today and into the night when it gets closer to their interview time since Cairo is ahead of the States.

Well then, there is time for me to start praying, although I already know it's going to be good news.

Nope. It's still Saturday here and it will be for 12 more hours. It'll probably be a good 24 hours before anyone knows anything.

MENA people, remind your spouses to take every single bit of paperwork with them they can think of, originals and copies, even if the Embassy already has it. The Embassy asked for my divorce papers which, thankfully, I sent with so he had it. We want smooth sailing and no RFEs, right?

I told Waleed make 2 copies of his originals. Send one set of copies to the Embassy and the other set of copies keep for himself along with his originals. Of course we couldn't copy the medical report because it's in a sealed envelope so I said at least make a copy of the immunizations record which was on the outside of the medical report and maybe a copy of the outside of the envelope as well. I think he was thinking I was  or too strick or too organized. They just don't know how it goes here vs. how it is there and how every little detail matters to us.

Here's my POV, Olivia. These Embassies have to make decisions, decisions that they may have to answer for one day. I'm quite certain records are audited, just because it's the government and that's what the government does - it checks itself. A good government employee makes their decisions based on solid reasoning and artifacts (physical evidence that supports their reasoning). At some point, they will have to prove why they made their decision. Personally, I'd much rather have a government do it that way than the way they do it in Egypt, where a little money or office supplies or a promise of a favor in return will get a person what they want. So, yeah, the details matter and they matter because it's the Embassy employee's JOB to pay attention to those details. It makes sense to me, and to you, but to the average Egyptian it doesn't. This is also a good educational experience for Waleed because when he gets to the US (and I predict that will happen soon ... I just have a good feeling about it), particularly when he starts to practice medicine and starts to deal with insurance companies and government compliance agencies, this has to be second nature.

Hello girls.

Is this the Saturday thread or the Saturday interview thread? I found the title confusing and almost passed it up entirely.

:wacko::P

Maybe we can keep this as a good mojo thread for the interviews happening and start a separate Saturday thread? :)

Living with hubby in Egypt, at last.

Happy Caturday!!!!!!!!!

Wow, we have 3 interviews!!Good Luck to those hubbys!

Olivia, I'm so excited for you, it's been a long road for you but you see, you finally reached to your destination! It was a long ride but you made it!

Well our plans for Cedarpoint today got rained out, didn't want to chance it with these scattered showers throughout the day, so it looks like tomorrow will be the big day. I really wanted to avoid a Sunday outing, it makes it a very tiring Monday for me at work! So far Sunday shows a 0% chance of rain. I guess the alternate plan for today will be some rollerskating.

Hopefully, i can make it tonight for the big slumber party.
