It seems to be a trend. I had a look at China's, the Czech Republic's, Ghana's, Greece's, and the US and Canada's. The only ones that looked remotely like national costumes were Greece's and the US's. It seems to be some sort of Haut couture thing rather than representative of the country's history and culture. Go figure. It would be so much more interesting if they went the other way. IMO.

I didn't look at them all, but is there really one crazier than China?

Yeah. Freakish, huh? They got the costume part right, though.

7/19/10 - GC in hand! (Day 96) .

i was so bored i looked through most of them. iceland and kosova are very beautiful, so are many of the latinas. but that's it. i was surprised at russia's lady: not that nice. indonesia is cute, so is jamaica.

etc.

Timeline:

Sent in I-130 form: 01/29/09

Interview Date: 11/08/09 (APPROVED!)

Visa in Hand: 11/12/09

POE: 01/30/10 (!!!!) at JFK Airport in NYC... can't wait!

Got the green card maybe 8 weeks after 01/30/10...

TBC....

Women are by nature beautiful.

People are always interested to see "best" of anything be it a Monster-truck or a Blue ribbon rose.

Ad to this a "national element" and you have a duel interest story going on.

Great Britain is a stunner.

Ukraine and Indonesia have nice hair

Columbia rocked her bikini

Canada is cute.

Cyprus and Japan are nice.

Israel and Estonia look the same to me but they both could be in classic movies.

France and Zambia were really intriguing.

Ireland has the best smile.

Mauritius has the cutest dimple.

Women are beautiful by nature I do agree...but outward beauty fades pretty darn quick dude...it's the inward beauty that will last for ages. That's why I wondered what is the purpose of beauty contests.
