Recieved RFE...need clarification

Hey everyone. I just recieved my RFE in the mail, and here it is(I didn't expect this content at all):

"...In to process your application further, submit a copy of the marriage certificate for you and the United States Citizen petitioner..."

So, this was the only thing they listed.

I'm kinda confused, since I included a photocopy of certified marriage license copy with both I-130 and I-485. So, what are they asking for exactly? Are they not satisfied with photocopies and want the actual certified copy from the Clerk (that cost me $26, that's why I didn't send it), or do they want a copy of your original marriage certificate(that we got on the day of the wedding).

In any case, would it be ok with USCIS if I send both a copy of our marriage certificate, and an official certified copy from the City Clerk?

Also, what do you write on the envelope when responding to RFE?

1) marriage license is the document you get BEFORE you are married

2) marriage certificate is the document you get AFTER you are married

3) certified marriage certificate is the document you get AFTER you are married and after it has been recorded by the county

It is #3 that they want a photocopy of.

Send a photocopy of your marriage certificate. They might have lost it or smth. A photocopy should do, although we did send an actual certified copy, just in case.

When responding to an RFE you include the actual RFE (make a copy for your records) and what they ask from you - in your case a copy of your marriage certificate. On the envelope, put the address provided on the RFE. And don`t forget to send it certified mail with confirmation of delivery.

Send a xerox of the certified copy you obtained from the county registrar and take the original to your interview if you have one. Good luck!!!
