so whats the problem??? My husband had 4 PCC, two of them didn't have any expiration date on them and according to the operator at NVC police certificates are valid for upto one year since the issue date!

Do they want you to get another one or what?

I guess I'm totally ignorant. I would have thought no expiration date would be a good thing. Anyway, I think the expiration dates are uniform within a country. Whatever the validity is for Pakistan should be the validity for any PCC without an expiration date. But what do I know? This has confused me from day one.

this is insane.. Most of the time people don't even submit PCC to NVC and just bring them to embassy for the interview.. if possible, ask them if they could issue an RFE, complete the case, and expect you to bring it to the embassy for the interview??? It doesn'tmake sense but probably it would expedite the case completion at NVC.

On a second thought, call again.. talk to anotehr operator and explain the situation to hhim/her.. sometimes it just depends on who you get on phone.. good luck and hopefully it gets resolved soon.

The local PCC have different expiration dates.. my husband's certificate from Karachi was valid for six months but his PCC from Rawalpindi was valid for only 3 months.. however, for immigration purposes as told by NVC operator, PCC are generally valid for ONE YEAR unless and until embassy requests you to bring another one to the interview.

This is weird they asked you for another one.I had to submit PCC from 2 different countries ( Canada & Pakistan). Pakistani one said it expires in 6 months and the Canadian doesn't have any exp date..... and i had no problem during the interview.CO went over both the PCCs and no issue.

You were not the one that issued the PCC so dont stress yourself. You could try and get a new PCC, and ensure that it has exp date on it.

Call NVC again speak to another operator and explain to them your issue and let have them reviewed by a supervisor, My husband's Police Cert didnot have a expiration date only issue date and our case is complete at nvc. Keep calling until someone at NVC will help you...Good luck

Hey gang, some PCC do have expiration dates right on them, my hubbys do from Algeria, states Valid for 3 months, for safety sake try and get another one, or do like I did, I emailed the embassy and asked them, sonce their packet 3 says docs are good within 1 year of the interview, more confusion. Its up to the C/O the embassy told me. So for the NVC i WILL enclose the email I got from the embassy saying they will accept it BUT up to the officer to accept it.

Truly happy!!!

New life, new adventures, and a new attitude.

The PCC which SAUDI ARABIAN Police issues DONOT have expire dates on that we discuss that matter with AMERICAN EMBASSY and they accepts same PCC what we got . Well now We are waiting what lawyer says . Lawyer told us to wait for 2 week bcz NVC told him for review the case he told us on 11 AUG and now we will wait a day or two . Then we will contact direct to NVC and call the senetors or congressman . We are so in pain bcz of this too much paper work.

Thanks again !
