Funeral was yesterday, was notified last Monday, nieces husband died, yes, these are never planned for. Talked to my sister with my regrets, own son is in the hospital, taking care of my grandkid, and that 1,800 mile round trip. We just couldn't make that.

One of the weddings we were invited to is not really a wedding, but a church blessing. Couple was married by a JP, would have to go to confession and promise not to sin anymore, get their marriage blessed, but that fooling around afterwards won't no longer be a sin anymore. Catholic church used to do this in a cave as scandal may result, not keeping up with this stuff, but must be a public display today.

The two other weddings we were invited to were couples we just met once that were friends of friends. Wonder why they invited us? Only said, nice to meet you and that was about it. But if they have a 50 buck per plate meal and free drinks and live music, can get by with a ten buck gift, may take them up on it.

Would this be actually 2.5 weddings and a funeral?
