Everyone is always saying how fast the Vermont Service Center is - but when you look at the statistics from this very site, Vermont is much slower than California, Nebraska, or Texas.

These figures are for NOA1s received in March/April and show the dates for the NOA1s and NOA2s for I-130 visa applications. It doesn't include couples still waiting for an NOA1 or an NOA2.

My NOA1 was March 1, 2006, and I have not received an NOA2 yet. People in Nebraska, California, and Texas filed long after me and have already been approved, some for as long as two months now. I'm wishing I had filed at another center now!

Don't get me wrong, I'm very happy for those that haven't had as long of wait, but I'm frustrated as well.

Well, I think the amount of data collected doesn't prove that they're not fast. We say VSC's fast based on the experience.

I only offer advice - not even legal. Just the plain and simple kind.

Also it varies depends on Visa Type. CR1's do take longer than K1's or K3's. I filed my CR1 through the VSC and it did seem like it took forever. From looking at the USCIS website itself, the processing dates at the VSC are better than those at the other centers.

newhampshire,

When people talk about the VSC being fast they are generally talking about the processing of I-129f petitions, not I-130 petitions (or I-751 applications).
