The reality is most murders are committed by someone known by the victim to some degree. The Vegas stripper who married a drunken millionaire A-hole within 48 hours of meeting him probably didn't exercise the best judgement. I'm not saying she deserved it but when you really don't know who you are marrying anything can happen but it usually doesn't go so far as finding your dismembered corpse in a dumpster.
