I will 4 sure keep her away from VJ.. too many emotional ups and downs with all of the blue slips and few pinks.. she would crack up at the interview if she read about all of the bad news

I'm taking the opposite approach with Phuong. She knows a lot of people get a blue slip on the first interview, and many get another blue on the second. I think it will be a lot less stressful for her if she goes into the interview expecting the blue slip, especially since nothing she does or says at the interview is likely to change a predetermined blue to a pink. One of her friends interviewed two days ago and got a blue slip. She went to the village today to see it and talk to them about the interview.

My problem is she's getting too much "advice" from friends. One of her friends, who is married to a USC and got a blue slip, told her that the CO would want to see pictures of us sleeping together!

I said, "Em yêu, don't you think the consulate is going to wonder who took the photo?"

The "friendly advice" from others is a big problem. Especially when those giving the advice are giving it with a tinge of jealousy. Seems to be a high art in some communities in Vietnam. Each couple's circumstances are unique and no one can dwell completely on the success/failure of others.

We all travel the same highway, some lanes have more pot holes and detours than others. Keeping our fiance(e)s on topic can be a bit of a challenge.

Where's the carpool lane? Oh yeah thats the Military expedite..

It heps to know what others ran into along their path, but as you say every trip is different... I am just hoping there are no accidents ahead of me that can cause a delay... looks like traffic is moving quicker but I see quite a few folks being told to pull over and park at the rest stop... I can't imagine sitting at the rest stop watching others drive by and not understanding why I have to sit there. At least there are others at the same rest stop that are going through the same thing.. not alone 4 sure...
