That logic is just too f*cked up to even comprehend. You don't see a problem with a 50 year old man marrying an 18 year old girl? Screw the visa part of all this. Does that seem right to you? Also, I find it a little odd that you claim to be doing all this charity work, but not too long ago you were asking people here for money.

Ayyyyyyy Nakuuuuuuu!

In my SO's country there is a name for people that make claims of needing money from strangers because they are in the throws of a serious medical emergency . SCAMMER

This will not be over quickly. You will not enjoy this.

so while you are sitting back and judging me, why dont you send some money to a third world hell hole, and help a child.

Being judged without people knowing your whole situation doesn't feel very good, does it?

Sort of like what you used this thread to set out to do to the men of VJ, right? Judging them for their choices? For bringing a fiance over without knowing them as long as you would like them to?

Oh well. If it doesn't work they can just "get" another one. And then another. Except they might eventually realize that the U.S. probably won't approve endless K1's for them. So then they can just move to a country where all these girls live, and claim that's what they wanted to do all along... right?

Which is a young girl who is being taken advantaged of by you. She's 18, her life has barely begun and you're 50, you're life is coming to an end. You two are in completely different places.

I'm sorry you've been hurt before in the past by women, because it seems the whole reason of you going to the Philippines is because you are outraged by American women, which is the wrong reason to go. You really think taking advantage of a young girl will solve your problems? You talk about the hard conditions in other countries, yet you are manipulating a girl with promises of grandeur.

It's borderline pedophilia.

Nice way to describe the place you call home.

We dont need to send money to the children, you are doing it for us from what you have said.

You sound like a male Mother Teresa to me.

I can see you now in the streets of Cebu leading the children in song. I am sure the locals are glad to have you saving them from living in the bamboo shacks ect.

You must enjoy seeing the little faces peering out at you on the milk cartons. Is that why you left the USA ?

Greener pastures in the P I for the old buffalo?

Just a thought... age is just a number. You'll find that 18 year old who live in rough conditions are often as mature as a 40 year old.

Granted. But what about when he kicks over after 10 years? Is she going to be taken care of? Maybe by then she could support herself? Who knows. The whole thing just seems bizarre. Maybe because I'm looking at it through American colored glasses. I'm not one to be throwing stones. My first girlfriend in Thailand was 19 and I was 36. (She lied and told me that she was 24.) She had the maturity of a 12 year old. Live and learn I guess. The weirdness doesn't concern me as much as the financial and durability of it all.

Asking for donations from VJ members is also odd.
