Has anyone ever or heard of anyone getting an RFE for not writing the name on the back of the passport style photo?

if so, is there anything you can do, ahead of time, before getting the RFE?

no, i did not get an RFE. i just sent in the packet. I am asking if anyone has gotten an RFE for not writing the name on the back of the photo.

It's not a requirement (name on back of photo) - I'd be willing to bet they can figure out which one of you is which though. Don't worry..

"The dimension of the full frontal facial image of you and your fiancé(e) in separate photos should be about one inch from your chin to the top of your hair. Using a pencil or felt pen, lightly print the name (and Alien Registration Number, if known) on the back of each photograph."

Yes - you're right about that (slipped my mind).

Nonetheless I've personally not seen an RFE for this reason - in any event, there isn't anything to do but relax - you can't send things to them in the hopes that it catches up with your petition - if you did get an RFE (which I doubt), you would have to wait until it actually happens and you get an official notice, which won't be for many months to come.

Hang in there - you'll be just fine.

I too forgot to write the name on the back of one of the photo's and I've heard nothing so far in 5 and a half months. Hopefully we will both be ok.
